The part where the spinal marrow begins. Ligamentum Nuchae. A strong ligament from the neck, proceeding from one spinous process to another, and inserted into the occipital bone. It is very strong in quadrupeds. It is called in them Paxywaxy, Paxwax, Packwax, formerly, Faxwax, and Taxwax.
