A German poet, dramatist, and romancer; born in Waldau, near Cassel, Nov. 4, 1789; died at Frankfort-on-the-Oder, Dec. 2, 1857. Her father was General Adam Ludwig von Ochs, and in 1809 she married Baron Leopold von Hohenhausen, who left her a widow in 1848. Her poetry was published in 1817, under the title "Flowers of Spring". "Nature, Art, and Life" is a volume of her recollections, and "John and Cornelius de Witt" is a historical play of merit.
