An American historical writer; born in Danvers, Mass., 1813; died in New Utrecht, N. Y., March 5, 1886. He was author of: "Life of Charles Sumner"; "Life of Franklin"; "Riches of Bunyan"; "Life of Galen"; and "Life of Henry Dunster, First President of Harvard College" (1872), which is a work of much historical value.
