A vessel met with in the Persian Gulf, and trading often as far as the Malabar coast. In length it varies from 50 to 100 feet, and is remarkable for the keel being only one-third the length of the boat. It sails well, but carries only a small cargo, and is more suitable for fishing than for trading purposes.
