[Greek] Of a pulse, marked by two or more distinct expansions of the artery in the same beat, the lesser expansion or expansions occurring after the principal one (i. e., on the descending wave). A c. pulse is Catadicrotic when there is a single secondary expansion, Catatricrotic when there are two. Hence, Catacrotism, the state of being c. (catadicrotic, catatricrotic).
